Driver Dead; Accident Closes I-395

State police say the driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Montville.  The accident closed Interstate 395 for a time.

Police say 73-year-old Edwina Maryaski of Uncasville was southbound in the left lane when her Subaru Legacy drifted off the left side of the highway, across the median, across two lanes of traffic, into a guard rail and south on I-395 before coming to a stop in the right shoulder.

Police say it’s not clear whether she suffered a medical condition which caused the crash,  or died as a result of her injuries.
