A Newington man appeared at New Britain Superior Court today on charges of having 9 pounds of cocaine in his apartment.
Officers say they found the drugs in Marc Glover’s Highgate Road apartment in March, during a search that followed a domestic complaint at the apartment on Highgate Road.
Newington Police Sergeant John Zematis said the 37-year-old was captured during a traffic stop yesterday.
“It’s pretty unusual,” Zematis said. “It is a pretty substantial amount of cocaine.”
Police estimate the drugs were worth tens of thousands of dollars, but that the actual resale value would depend on the purity of the drugs.
Glover’s bond was set at $350,000 in New Britain Superior Court today. He is due back in court May 16.
