Four Hospitalized After New Hartford Crash

The Metropolitan District Commission and Connecticut State Police are investigating a one-vehicle crash in New Hartford, which hospitalized four people overnight Friday into Saturday.

Authorities say the vehicle crashed into a tree on Farnam Road, which is a dirt road off of Route 202 on MDC land near the Nepaug Dam.

A spokeswoman for the regional water and sewer authority says two victims were taken via helicopter to Hartford Hospital; two others were taken by ground ambulance– one to Hartford Hospital and the other to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford; a fifth person refused treatment at the scene.
