Middletown Police Searching For Bank Robber

Middletown police are searching for the man who robbed Bank of America Saturday morning. Police received a report that the bank at 895 Washington Street was robbed around 9:15 a.m. Officers responded within seconds, but the suspect had already fled on foot toward Price Chopper. A K-9 officer and his partner tracked the suspect, but it appears the man fled the area in a waiting vehicle.

Police say the suspect handed a teller a note that implied he had a gun and demanded cash. He placed the cash in a black backpack and left the bank. The man is a white male in his 40s, approximately 5’11” tall with a medium build, brown/dark hair with some gray and the beginnings of a brown and gray beard.

No one was injured during the robbery. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call the Middletown Police Department at 860-344-3200.
