Authorities were inspecting a crane which toppled in Stratford Saturday morning.

Police say the crane fell over around 9 a.m. in the area of the Dock Shopping Center on East Main Street. It was being used for a construction project on nearby Interstate 95.

A town official said the operator of the crane was taken to an area hospital– condition not known.
