Manchester Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect

Manchester Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of robbing the First Niagara Bank inside the Shop Rite supermarket on Spencer Street Tuesday evening.

Shortly before 7 p.m.– closing time for the bank– police say the suspect handed a teller a note reading “Large bills no tricks! Hurry!” Police say the man implied he had a weapon but none was displayed and no one was hurt.

The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, said police.

He is described as 5’7″ tall, in his mid 30s, of Hispanic or Indian descent, wearing a dark blue baseball cap, reading glasses, and a dark zip-up coat.

Anyone with information on the heist is urged to call Manchester Police detectives at 860-645-5510.
