Former Catholic School Teacher From Hebron Under Arrest

BALTIC, Conn. (AP) – State police say they’ve charged a former teacher at a Catholic high school in Baltic with having “inappropriate contact” with a female student in 2010.

Thirty-year-old Robert Pfeiffer of Hebron was charged Tuesday with risk of injury to a minor/impairing the morals of a minor, a felony that carries up to 10 years in prison upon conviction.

Troopers say Pfeiffer was a teacher at the Academy of The Holy Family at the time of the alleged contact. The school is a day and boarding high school for American and international girls.

There’s no phone listing for Pfeiffer, and it’s not clear if he has a lawyer.

He posted $50,000 bail and is due in Norwich Superior Court on April 26.
