Body Spotted In Chestnut Hill Reservoir

BOSTON (AP) _ A body spotted in the Chestnut Hill Reservoir has been removed from the water.

The body was taken out of the water just after 10 a.m. Wednesday, placed in a bag and put on a gurney.
State police say the body was spotted about 20 feet from shore just before 8 a.m. by a man walking his dog.

Authorities could not immediately determine whether the body was that of missing Boston College student Franco Garcia.

The 21-year-old chemistry major was last seen by friends at a popular bar near campus in the early morning hours of Feb. 22.

Searches of the reservoir and the area around campus shortly after the disappearance of the 21-year-old chemistry major came up empty. The state-owned reservoir is located between the bar and campus.
