Wesleyan Students Bound, Robbed At Gunpoint Inside Dorm

Middletown police are looking for a man who robbed two Wesleyan University students at gunpoint inside a residence hall Saturday night. Police say the suspect showed a silver and green handgun and bound the students with duct tape before robbing them of their money and electronics.

The students were able to free themselves and call for help after the robber left. They were not injured.

The suspect is described as a white, heavy set male, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans, and carried a black and red backpack. Police believe the suspect specifically targeted one of the victims.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Middletown Police Department at 860-344-3200.
