Hundreds Camp Out In Connecticut For Free Dental Clinic

DANBURY, Conn. (AP) — Hundreds of people are lining up for a free dental clinic in Danbury.

A long line was waiting when the clinic opened its doors Friday morning at Western Connecticut State University to provide cleanings, fillings and other services. Several hundred people had camped out overnight to see a dentist.

More than 2,000 underserved or uninsured patients are expected to receive treatment Friday and Saturday at the Connecticut Mission of Mercy’s clinic.

More than 1,600 volunteers are supporting the clinic, which is in its fifth year of offering free dental treatments around Connecticut.
