HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is scheduled to speak and answer questions on a broad range of issues at special event organized by The Connecticut Forum.
The ticketed event will be held Friday evening at The Bushnell theater in Hartford.
An event organizer did not elaborate on the topic of Clinton’s speech, which is titled “Embracing Our Common Humanity,” but said the former Democratic president would likely answer moderated questions on education reform, innovation and U.S. competitiveness. Richard Sugarman said Clinton will not be taking live questions from the audience.
In 2010, Clinton visited Connecticut to campaign for various Democratic candidates, including a Halloween-night rally for now-Gov. Dannel P. Malloy at the Universityof Hartford.
