STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ A dean at the City University of New York has been appointed dean of the University of Connecticut’s School of Business.
UConn announced the appointment Thursday of John A. Elliott, who has been vice president and dean at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College since 2002.
Before serving at Baruch, he was a professor of accounting at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business and was associate dean at the Ithaca, N.Y., Ivy League school.
Elliott is scheduled to begin his job at UConn in August. His salary will be $390,000.
The previous dean, Christopher Earley, left last year to become dean of the Purdue University’s school of management.
