Police Identify Pedestrian Killed On Route 6

Farmington Police have identified the pedestrian killed in an accident on Route 6 Wednesday morning.  Police say 83-year-old Aurthur Walker of Southington stopped his car just east of the Hyde Road intersection  about 5:45 a.m. and got out of the car and for some reason walked into westbound traffic.

He was struck by a 1989 Ford Mustang driven by 57-year-old Diego Sanchez of Hartford.  No charges have been filed in the case, and the accident remains under investigation.

Farmington police ask anyone with any information about the accident to call Sergeant Walzak or Officer Stone at (860) 675-2400.
