3,000 Packages Of Heroin Seized In Drug Raid

Hartford police say they have shut down a drug factory on Roosevelt Street,  and seized more than three-thousand bags of heroin,  as well as drug cutting and packaging material and weapons.  Two people were arrested in the case.

Police say 28-year-old Edward Cruz of 74 Roosevelt Street is held in lieu of $600,000 bond,  charged with operating a drug factory,  and other drug and weapons charges.  26-year-old Denis Murtic of Bates Street also faces drug and weapons charges.  His bond was set at half a million dollars.
