PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man has been accused of biting an 11-year-old boy and punching a 9-year-old during a domestic dispute.
Police say 41-year-old Edward Critten of Rochester was involved in an argument with a woman when her two boys came to her defense on Sunday.
Critten allegedly bit the older boy in the chest, leaving bite marks, and punching the other child. Critten also is accused of assaulting the woman and breaking a television set. One of the children ran from the house and to a neighbor’s for help.
Critten was charged with second-degree assault, criminal mischief and two counts of simple assault.
Police said Critten and the woman were in a relationship but it was not immediately known whether he is the father of the children.
