State Police Investigate Chaplin Stabbing

CHAPLIN, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut State police say a woman has been found seriously injured at a Chaplin home, and a man later found dead nearby.

State police spokesman Lt. Paul Vance said troopers got a 911 call just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday saying that a woman was seriously hurt at 95 Miller Road. The woman was reported in serious condition at Hartford Hospital on Wednesday night.

Vance said troopers at that scene were told a second person was injured at a residence on Mount Laurel Lane. They found an unresponsive man in the driveway there. The man was pronounced dead by emergency workers at the scene.

The identities of the man and woman have not been released as state police continue to investigate.
