Middletown Police have charged a Cromwell man with driving under the influence after he allegedly struck two pedestrians with his car on Main Street late Friday night and kept going.

Police say they caught up with Darin Kramer, 35, on Route 9 northbound. He’s accused of striking Edlyn Fuller, 44, of Middletown and Raeshon Daniels, 30, in a crosswalk at Main and Liberty Streets around 11:45 p.m. Fuller suffered serious injuries and was being treated at Hartford Hospital, said police. Daniels reported minor injuries.

Kramer was held on $25,000 bond. He is due in Middletown Superior Court on February 24. Police say additional charges against Kramer are expected.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to call Officer David Godwin at 860-344-3264.
