NORWICH, Conn. (AP) _ A Connecticut judge has found no probable cause to hold a woman arrested after she accepted a package addressed to her boyfriend that police said contained liquid cocaine.

The Norwich Bulletin reports  the judge released 28-year-old Janice Gomez on Thursday on a promise to appear at later court appearances. The judge said there was a lack of evidence linking her to what state police said was a federal narcoterrorism investigation.

Gomez was arrested Wednesday when she signed for the package from Peru. Police said the package had been inspected at New York’s JFK Airport, and found to contain 1.7 kilograms of liquid cocaine hidden in bottles of hand lotion.

She was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell cocaine, and risk of injury to a minor since a child was present.
