Power Restored At UConn Storrs Campus

STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ Utility crews have repaired a power line that came down near the University of Connecticut, knocking out power to much of the campus.

The power went off at about 10 a.m. Thursday to about three-quarters of the campus. It was restored about 2 1/2 hours later.

STORRS, Conn. (AP) – A power outage is affecting much of the University of Connecticut.

The school says power was knocked out Thursday morning to most buildings along Route 195, North Eagleville Road and the central part of the campus.

The school estimates it will take up to six hours to restore electricity.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the outage.
