The Metro-North Railroad is adding extra trains and extra cars for Connecticut football fans who plan on attending New York’s ticker tape parade for the Giants Tuesday.

The “Canyon of the Heroes” parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Metro-North says after arriving at Grand Central,   parade-goers should take the Lexington Avenue Subway’s 4, 5 or 6 train to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall.  The Wall Street station will be closed during the parade.

Off-peak prices will apply on the extra trains.  Customers are asked not to  bring alcohol onto the trains.

On the New Haven Line,  there will be an additional express train,  leaving New Haven at 8:47 a.m.  stopping at Milford, Stratford, Bridgeport, Stamford, Harlem-125th St, and arriving at Grand Central Terminal at 10:20 a.m.

After the parade,  Metro-North has added a 3:23 New Haven Line express from Grand Central, stopping at Westport, Fairfield, Fairfield Metro, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, and New Haven.
