SEEC Takes No Action On Giuliano Nomination

The State Elections Enforcement Commission took no action Wednesday on the nomination of a new elections watchdog.

The nomination of former Middletown Mayor Sebastian Giuliano has brought criticism from some Democratic lawmakers, and from some Wesleyan University students who say he tried to prevent them from voting in the Middletown mayoral election.

Chairman Stephen Cashman said only that the panel is not prepared to move forward at this time and would have no further comment.
