BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) _ A state representative accused of drunken driving will be making his first court appearance in the case.
Southington Rep. Bruce “Zeke” Zalaski is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Bristol Superior Court.
Bristol police arrested the 61-year-old lawmaker at about 1 a.m. on Dec. 21. Police told The Herald of New Britain that they were called to North Main Street on a report of a man sitting in a parked car with its door open and engine running. Police said Zalaski was the person in the car, and he appeared intoxicated.
Zalaski posted $500 bail after his arrest. He and his attorney haven’t returned phone messages since his arrest.
