West Hartford police are investigating burglaries at four church properties in their town, three in a 24-hour period.  Police say the break-ins seem to target churches with educational or fellowship areas in addition to sanctuaries.  They’re reminding staff members at all houses of worship to be sure they secure the premises when the buildings are empty,  and use alarm systems.

The churches burglarized are the Farmington Avenue Baptist Church, 155 Mountain Road;  Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2080 Boulevard;  First Church of Christ Congregational,  12 South Main Street and the First Baptist Church, 90 North Main Street.
