Friendly’s Closes More Restaurants In State

After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last fall, Friendly’s has shuttered nine more restaurants in Connecticut

The company says as of Sunday night, stores  on Spencer Street in Manchester,  Washington Avenue in North Haven, Watertown Avenue in Waterbury,  West Main Street in Norwich, and the branches in Wallingford, Middletown, Glastonbury, Branford, and Clinton have closed.

Seven Connecticut Friendly’s closed last year when the Massachusetts-based company filed for Chapter 11.
