Woman Arrested In Newington Shooting

A Glastonbury woman is held in lieu of a million dollars bond after a fatal shooting Monday night at a Berlin turnpike motel.

Newington Police say when they arrived at the Carrier Motor Lodge they found a man suffering apparent gunshot wounds.  He was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  He is identified as 44-year old Edward Landry,  who had been living at the motel.

Police arrested 35-year-old Alanna Carey of Glastonbury.  She’s expected to be arraigned in New Britain Superior Court Wednesday.
