Pedestrian Killed By Train In Wallingford
WALLINGFORD, Conn. (AP) _ A pedestrian has been killed by a train in Wallingford on the Meriden town line.
Amtrak spokesman Cliff Cole said the New Haven-Springfield, Mass., train hit the unidentified pedestrian Monday morning. He said service resumed at 1 p.m. after a delay of about two hours.
Cole said the 36 passengers and several crew members were not injured.
The pedestrian, who was considered a trespasser by Amtrak, was not identified. Other details were not available.
Wallingford police did not immediately return a call seeking information.
