Three Arrested At ‘Occupy New Haven’ Camp

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) – Police say they have arrested three people at the Occupy New Haven encampment after a man upset over protesters flying an American flag upside down began yelling at them and they yelled back.

Witnesses told police a man dressed in red, white, and blue and carrying an American flag arrived at New Haven Town Green on Friday afternoon. Police identified the man as 69-year-old Zequir Berishai. Witnesses say that at one point, he shoved one of the protesters.

Police arrested him and two from the Occupy group on charges of breach of peace. The two were identified as 28-year-old Broderick Lee and 25-year-old Shawn Nardell.
