Police in Meriden are searching for the man who robbed the TD Bank on East Main Street Tuesday afternoon. A masked man walked into the bank at 4:36 p.m. and demanded money. He did not show a weapon, but police say he kept one hand in his jacket pocket during the robbery.

The robber left the bank at 733 East Main Street with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said evidence of the robbery was recovered a short distance away on Wilson Street.

The robber is described as a white male, about 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a thin build and bright blue eyes. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket and a black mask that covered most of his face.

Anyone who can help identify the suspect is asked to contact the Meriden Police Department at 203-630-6201 or Detective Burke at 203-630-6219.
