Manchester police say their investigation into the fatal shooting of a convenience store clerk earlier this year has led them to make an additional arrest. The same suspect now faces charges in a holdup at the “Super Convenience Store” on Hartford Road two years earlier, and the victim in the earlier robbery was the clerk shot dead in May.
Police had previously charged 19-year-old Charles Wilson in the May 22 holdup which resulted in the death of Aurang Sahi. Now Captain Chris Davis says they’ve also charged Wilson in a previous robbery, April 26, 2009.
Davis says at the time of the 2009 crime, Wilson lived in the neighborhood of the convenience store. He had since moved, and “we believe he just went back there because he had robbed it before and had gotten away with it.” Wilson is currently held at Northern Correctional Institution in Somers.
