Carol Sing and then light the tree in front of Town Hall. Inside, the Babcock Coronet Band will play your favorite traditional holiday music. We will serve homemade soup,bread and holiday treats. We hope to have a special visit from Saint Nicholas himself!

On Wednesday, December 7th at 6:30 PM the night sky will light up with wonder as the annual tree lighting festival takes off for another year of family fun! The festivities, held at Town Hall, will include caroling, lighting of the holiday tree, and even a visit from Santa! Children are encouraged to bring a weatherproof ornament to hang on the tree. Refreshments will be served at the Nathan Hale School. Santa will be available for pictures during refreshments as well.

Light up your holiday spirit and join your neighbors for this great community event! The 30 foot evergreen located on the Center Shops lawn will be decorated with lights in celebration of the holidays. Be there when they are lit by East Granby Eagle Scouts!

East Hartford Town Green In conjunction with the East Hartford Parks & Recreation Department, this festive event features a holiday carol sing-along, a visit from Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and a special visit from Santa delivered directly from the North Pole on an East Hartford Fire truck! Candy canes and hot chocolate on hand to keep you warm an cozy. Free event and open to everyone!

8th Annual Holiday Stroll

This family-friendly day features horse-drawn carriage rides, professional holiday carolers along the quaint shop-lined streets of Niantic, complimentary hot cider and cocoa, and the arrival of Santa on a shiny red fire truck to the town green just in time for a tree lighting ceremony at 5:00 pm on Liberty Green in the heart of Niantic Village. Additional informaion will be provided as it becomes available.

The occasion that truly kicks off the holiday season in Fairfield is the lighting of the Christmas tree on the Town Hall Green. Gather with your family and countdown as we light the 90-foot tall Norway spruce, the tallest living tree that gets lit at Christmas time in Connecticut. It was one of three trees donated by the Daughters of the American Revolution in December 1918.
At 6:15 pm the Fairfield Woods, Roger Ludlowe and Tomlinson Middle School Chamber Choir will sing songs of the season. The Fairfield Warde Choral Group will also be performing at 6:40 pm. Enjoy some hot chocolate and free glow necklaces compliments of the Town Youth Council.

The Town of Prospect, along with the support of the Volunteer Fire Department are celebrating the holidays again this year with the 9th Annual Holiday Light Parade, followed by the Town Tree Lighting ceremony in the center of Prospect. The Parade of Lights, sponsored by the Prospect Fire Department will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. and will travel through Town following the Memorial Day Parade route. The parade will end at the Prospect Town Hall for the Tree Lighting festivities.

On Friday, December 2, 2011, Mayor Apel will join members of the community for Vernon’s 3rd Annual Torchlight Parade and 9th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to kick-off Vernon’s 2011 Winterfest and the holiday season. The parade, which is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m., will step-off at Station 1 (Route 30 Fire Station), continue on West Road, to Union Street, and end at Central Park (14 Park Place) at 6:45 p.m. for the Tree Lighting and Carol Sing, followed by lite refreshments at Vernon Town Hall.

5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Westport Downtown Merchants Association invites residents to the Christ and Holy Trinity Church’s Great Hall for a celebration with music from Chris Coogan and the Staples High School Orphenians.

The Annual Torchlight Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2011. The parade will form at 6:00 p.m. at Noden Reed Park, and will proceed to Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. The Tree Lighting Ceremony be at Town Hall following the parade. All are invited to participate in the Parade and festivities. Santa will be at Town Hall to hear Christmas wishes.

Bill Brennan and Santa will be arriving at the Wilton Center to light the holiday tree. But don’t worry, Santa won’t be heading back to the North Pole just yet. He will be at the gazebo anxious to hear what everyone wants under their tree! The Wilton High School Band will also be joining us to play their favorite Holiday tunes!
