Norwich Man Barrels Vehicle into Police Headquarters

A Norwich man is in custody after driving his vehicle into the front of Norwich Police Headquarters Sunday.

Kevin Vary, 51 of 241-A Yantic St., at 9:33 p.m. drove a full-size Chevrolet pick-up truck into the front of the Norwich Police Headquarters at 70 Thames St. The vehicle penetrated the exterior glass doors and caused considerable damage to the front entrance of the building. There were no injuries as a result of this incident. Further investigation revealed that the incident was an intentional act and Vary was arrested.

He was charged with first degree reckless endangerment, first degree criminal mischief and reckless driving.
