Another Connecticut service member has been killed in Afghanistan.  Governor Malloy ordered U.S. and state flags to fly at half staff in honor of Sergeant Ari Cullers,  killed when a rocket-propelled grenade hit a bulldozer he was repairing in Kandahar province.

Sergeant Cullers,  who was 28,  grew up in New London.  He was a member of the Army Headquarters Company, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team,  stationed in Fort Drum, New York.
