Students Invited To Meet With Protestors

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Protesters in Connecticut who are angry at corporate America hope to mobilize support in colleges and universities with a rally at the state Capitol.

The Hartford Courant reports  that students are expected to walk out of class at 2 p.m. Thursday and meet with Occupy Hartford protesters.

Paul Talbot, who has been involved with the protests, says protesters want to get the attention of the legislature and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.

Protesters say issues may include tuition increases, student debt and the lack of jobs for college graduates.

Talbot says Occupy Hartford has sent invitations to several colleges and universities, and has received interest from students at Central Connecticut State University, Trinity College, University of Hartford, University of Connecticut and Wesleyan University.
