Early Dismissal At Tolland High

Students at Tolland High School were sent home early Friday, after the odor of propane was detected in the building.

Superintendent William Guzman says the odor was detected around 7:20 a.m., in a hallway in the home economics wing of the building. Students were first evacuated to the nearby Tolland Middle School and then the decision was made to send them home.

No one was hurt.

Mechanical crews were called in to pinpoint the source of the odor.
