Man Charged With Murder After Girlfriend Is Stabbed

A Hamden woman is dead and her boyfriend is being held on a $1 million bond after being charged with murder. Officers responded to 37 Williamson Road in Hamden around 2:30 Saturday morning and found 41-year-old Frances Piscitelli lying on a bed. She had been stabbed in the stomach. She was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for emergency surgery and pronounced dead a short time later.

Piscitelli’s boyfriend, 41-year-old David Borelli, was found with lacerations to his wrists. He was treated at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and taken into custody by Hamden police. He is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on Tueday.

The Hamden Police Department is continuing to investigate.
