Two Killed In Merritt Parkway Crash

Two men were killed early Saturday when State Police say their car left the Merritt Parkway, slammed into a guardrail in the median, went airborne, and struck a tree.

Police say the driver of the 2002 Toyota Camry, Jeffery Hinton, 22, of Stamford and the passenger, Jason E. McKinney, 26, of Norwalk, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say the crash occurred on the southbound side of the parkway near Exit 40-A around 12:21 a.m., as the car was negotiating a curve on a downhill slope.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to call State Police at 203-696-2500.
