EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ University of Connecticut officials
say they’ve rescheduled the football team’s home game against
Fordham to Saturday because Rentschler Field is being used as a
statewide distribution center for storm-related aid.

The game is now set for noon Saturday at the East Hartford
stadium. All tickets and parking passes issued for the original
date of Thursday will be honored.

Connecticut National Guard troops have been at the stadium this
week unloading food and water from delivery trucks and loading
items onto other trucks bound for shelters and other locations
across the state, in response to Tropical Storm Irene.
