Shelton Man Tasered For Parking In Handicapped Spot

A Shelton man was so upset about the lack of parking enforcement in his town that he parked his car illegally in a handicapped space and called police more than a dozen times before officers arrived and arrested him.

Police say they had to subdue Michael Andes with a stun gun after he screamed at officers that they weren’t doing their job and became combative. He was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer and given a parking ticket.

Andes posted $1,000 bail and is due in Derby Superior Court Sept. 6.
