Residents Prepare For Storm

Connecticut residents appeared to be taking hurricane preparedness warnings to heart on Thursday.  A hardware store in  East Lyme tells WTIC 1080 News it had sold out of generators and was expecting a new delivery Friday,  with most of those already spoken for by customers.   Bread and water aisles in some grocery and “big box” stores were nearly cleared out.

State officials urged residents to have an emergency kit ready for the storm.  Governor Dannel Malloy says everyone should follow the advice of the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection to “get a kit, make a plan, stay informed.”  For their  tips,  click here.
