Three Charged In Shelton Larceny

Shelton police have arrested three men from the Bronx, New York, on larceny charges. They say the call came in around 7:15 Wednesday evening. Officers say initally, it was reported the trio were looking into and attempting to break into vehicles in a WalMart parking lot on Bridgeport Avenue.

The suspects weren’t spotted in the lot but they were later found leaving the store with backpacks filled with merchandise. Follow a traffic stop, police picked up 37 year old Marcel Simmons, 28 year old Broderick Flowers, and 39 year Renard Tabron. In addition to about five thousand dollars in merchandise, police say the men had keys the can be used to open cabinets and disable security devices in the store.

 Flowers, who’d been wanted on an outstanding warrant in New York, faces charges of larceny, conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools. He’s being held on 450 thousand dollars bond. Simmons faces similar charges and is also accused of several motor vehicle violations. His bond is set at 200 thousand dollars. Tabron is being held on 215 thousand dollars bond. All are due in court today.
