New charges have been filed against a Clinton babysitter accused of having consensual sex with a teenage boy.
Babysitter Loni Bouchard was 19, the boy was 14 at the time.
The initial charges came from Clinton Police, the new charges of sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor relate to alleged activity in Southington.
The file has been sealed by the court, so authorities would say very little about the circumstances of the case.
Southington Police say Bouchard turned herself in on the new charges Friday morning. She appeared in court the same day.
The states attorney asked that the cases be moved to the same courthouse, which likely indicates the same 14-year-old boy was the victim in both cases.
Bouchard’s defense lawyer John Bowdren says the young woman who is now 20 felt she was involved in a relationship.
She lives with her parents, and graduated from Valley Regional High School two years ago.
Bowdren said he hopes the ages of the two people involved is taken into account when the case is disposed of. They were only 5-years apart at the time of the alleged incidents.
