The 2011-2012  schedule for the National Champion UConn basketball Huskies will include 14 non-conference games,  including two exhibitions.  Ten of the non-conference games will be home games, either at Gampel Pavilion or Hartford’s XL Center.

Three of the four non-conference road games will be as part of the “Battle 4 Atlantis” held at Paradise Island, Bahamas,  November 24-26.  The other teams in the field are Harvard, Florida State, Utah, UMass, Central Florida, the College of Charleston and UNC-Asheville, though the exact team match-ups have not been decided.

Four straight non-conference games will open the season, starting with Columbia, followed by Wagner, Maine and Coppin State.

UConn will host Arkansas for the annual Big East/SEC Challenge in December.  And the final non-conference game of the regular season will be at Tennessee,  against the Volunteers.

UConn’s Big East Conference schedule will be announced at a later date. It will include home games against Cincinnati, DePaul, Marquette, Notre Dame, Pittsburgy, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Syracuse and West Virginia.

Conference games to be played on the road will be at Georgetown, Louisville, Notre Dame, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, USF, Syracuse and Villanova.
