Parking Ticket For Governor’s Car

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Not even the governor is immune to the occasional parking ticket.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s car was hit with a $30 ticket in a no-parking zone while he was visiting the New Haven chamber of commerce on Thursday.

Malloy said Friday that he is paying the ticket out of his own pocket, and he had a talk with the state trooper who drives his car.

Ha! This “news” station is ridiculous! It didn’t even report as the associated press did that initially the Governor refused to pay it, and claimed it was the responsibility of his State trooper driver. “talk to these guys, I didn’t park the car.” Way to go WTIC. Your preferences are becoming more clear every day!

This is the Associated Press story. They may have sent longer stories after we posted this, for their newspaper members. But WTIC did not edit the AP copy posted.
