Bloomfield Murder Suspect Arrested

A Hamden man wanted since the discovery of a body in Bloomfield in January 2010 has been arrested.

The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force says officers took 39-year old Demery Williams into custody in the New Haven area. He was charged as a fugitive from justice.

Williams’ arrest stems from a January 2010 incident in which they found 36-year-old William Jones dead inside an abandoned car.  Police say they believe the actual crime occurred in Springfield, Massachusetts and that Williams is expected to be extradited there to face charges.

Investigators expect to make at least one other arrest in the case.
