Hartford Mulls New Identity
A marketing group today took the wraps off three possible marketing campaigns for the city of Hartford.
Toronto-based Cundari Group Vice President Mary Newman says each of the campaigns would invite people to come downtown for live events.
“This city has a lot to offer, and it is all happening now, in the moment, and we are inviting people to be a part of it in the moment, because it only happens once, it only happens here, and it only happens in a Hartford kind of way,” Newman said.
The company says a survey shows that people who are willing to visit Hartford, come to see live events, especially sports and concerts.
“We come into a city and sometimes people don’t recognize the gems right under their noses. They don’t recognize that this is actually a pretty attractive place,” Newman said.
The old New England’s Rising Star motto is being phased out.
In a meeting at the Convention Center, three logos were also unveiled, each involving the letter H.
