Malloy Talks Energy Conservation

Gov. Malloy is taking advantage of what could to be the hottest day of the year to highlight the state’s new energy conservation plan.

Malloy is set to discuss the plan today with Democratic state Sen. Stephen Cassano at a senior center in Manchester.

The forecast for the capital region calls for high temperatures in or near triple digits and a heat index of 115 degrees.

The state’s new energy plan calls for adjusting electric market contracting practices and helping businesses reduce energy costs through energy-efficiency programs.
