State Police Seek Halfway House Escapee

State Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly escaped from a halfway house in Hartford Wednesday morning. Jose Felix, 31, left the Open Hearth shortly after 9 a.m., following a disagreement with a staff member at the community work release facility, said police.

Felix was serving the final months of his sentence related to a robbery conviction. Police say Felix also has a history of weapons-related charges. Authorities say he has ties to the Park Street area of Hartford and to New Britain.

Anyone with information on the inmate’s whereabouts is urged to contact State Police Troop H in Hartford at 860-534-100. Police say individuals should not try to approach Felix themselves.
