A 31-year-old Cromwell woman has been charged with leaving her 4-year-old son home alone.
Doris Dery was taken into custody Tuesday on a charge of risk of injury to a minor.
Police say they were called to the home on South Street just before 7:30 a.m. after receiving an anonymous complaint that the 4-year-old was alone and wandering outside the house.
Police say they found the boy in the driveway. They arrested Dery about 15 minutes later when she returned home.
She is due in court on July 28.
