Campus Bus Driver Charged With Negligient Homicide

The driver of a shuttle bus which struck and killed a pedestrian four months ago at the University of Connecticut has been charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle.  Campus police say Lukasz Gilewski of Newington also is charged with failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Police say Gilewski turned himself in when he was notified that an arrest warrant had been issued in the death of UConn student David Plamondon after the accident March 22.
