A 23-year-old Bloomfield man is held in lieu of a million dollars bond,  charged with being the getaway driver for a Manchester convenience store holdup in which the clerk was killed.

23-year-old Maurice Dixon is charged with felony murder and attempt to commit first degree robbery in the holdup at the Super Convenience store in Manchester.  Store clerk Aurang Zaib Sahi was killed May 22nd.

Nanchester Police Lieutenant Chris Davis says when police interviewed  the man suspected of actually carrying out the shooting, 18-year-old Charles Wilson of Hartford,  some of the things he told them didn’t add up,  and police continued to pursue the case, leading them to Dixon.  He says they’re working with Hartford police to determine if Dixon is linked to the killing of a 74-year-old man outside a Hartford market  a week later.  Wilson also is charged in that case.

Dixon was being held in lieu of a million dollars bond.
